# The Bend at 5

### The same record read from inside the initiative, with the process in view: the operator's plate and his readings, the house's seats and the seats left open, the registrations and the stake — a reading at 5

## One · The seat this reading takes {#the-seat}

- The house's reading carriage maps four seats, −1, −0, 1 and 0, and leaves its reader in none. A reading at 5 is written for the reader who would take that fifth seat inside the initiative: it keeps the operator's words, the house's readings and the open seats in view, so that the manner of the reading can be appreciated and not only its results.
- The line it reads is the Z learner's, a run of acts over one day, each act an operator's word carried verbatim, the house's reading marked at its seats and claimed of nothing, the design restamped, and the record its identifier and never its jury.

## Two · His plate and his forty {#his-plate}

- The operator asked for a review of the quad slip's default detune, the calibration the follow-on experiments carried, and read its number as forty: knowable by the origin, the duration the instrument was run, and the gap between marks of the same base-ten epoch. He drew a plate from the quad slip in which eighty is forty and forty from a true identifier of forty, the shape of the big zero for eighty, each instrument at rest.
- The house's reading of the calibration gave the forty exactly as he had placed it: four epochs of the four-decimal readout within one thousand and twenty-four laps, ten sign-segments in each, the fortieth at laps one thousand and seven and eight and no forty-first within the run. His plate was read against the record and set beside it: six dots in three pairs above each locked line against the record's six nodes in six pairs; four tiers of five rows against four epochs of ten segments; his third line one unit left of the midpoint, closer to x.

## Three · His readings, carried verbatim {#his-readings}

- His prediction that the big zero for thirty is a matter of note at thirty and thirty, sixty, was registered before any walk, the registration pinned and never edited; its seats B0 to B8 stand open in the design.
- His reading of the determinism of Pi gave the instrument its form: x and y the same number, one left first and the other right first; a spread exclusive and unified between them and the observer; z never higher than the depth of the longest number, counting upward to the origin and resolving eighty at the horizon; a turn anywhere from zero to forty on either side in its own register; the lawful times where a bend can occur and by how much over the strict projection. The house built it and marked its seats, C1 to C8.
- His two realisations gave the spin: the three instruments held so that there is no bend, and even so a spin needed as the relativity between x and y, lawful only through a gap given to the registration of the observer, which starts to the left, closer to x; five points at the measure forty, four at thirty-nine. The house built it and marked its seats, S1 to S6, and his five and four were given by the plate's own gap.
- His reading of the asymmetry, that the single quality arriving as the system's own asymmetry is the pre-registration of the observer's own alignment to the system, was carried as a justified true belief, identified at the engine's seats without verdict, and then, at his word, staked.

## Four · The house's seats, marked {#the-seats}

- The plate: the forty rows a side from the record, the amplitude an epoch unit per epoch, the sides mirrors on locked lines at the mock-up's measures, the meeting line the midpoint, the observer's column the registration.
- The turn: a rigid rotation of every row at or below the chosen depth about the locked line's point there; a row unlawful at the meeting line, or at its own locked line when the flip is counted; the window's bounds analytic and checked against the turn itself to a thousandth of a degree.
- The spin: a half-turn a segment slipping by δ; the measure, the approach; a lock point between the registration and the meeting line; the lawful spin the slip that keeps the points.
- The observer: counting upward from its depth, holding a row while the sides do not overlap, passing over a row absent on either side, two for every row held.
- The registration: one column, the mock-up's, or mirrored for y, a control; under one column y locks over nothing and spins free.

![Plate — The lawful window of the turn by depth](/sx/assets/readings/the-bend-at-5/zb-the-window.svg)

## Five · The stake, sealed and read {#the-stake}

- By the house's rule a reading its author asks to be staked leaves the register of the justified true belief for the register of the staked experiment: sealed with kills before it is read, and read for verdicts by its own rules. The checkable fragments of his reading were sealed as A, the asymmetry, and B, the typed and the rational; C, the whole, was held and never staked.
- A was read over two hundred and forty settings of every control. With the registration mirrored the two sides differed at none; as one column at two hundred and thirty-eight, in the lock points and the lawful spin only. PASS by the stake's rules. B was read as the strict projection at both plates and three depths of the observer, every row held, and as one hundred and sixty checks of the turn's bounds and sixteen of the spin's edge, all agreeing. PASS. The verdicts say what the instrument as built does, and nothing of actual reality.
- The run on the public node after the box act returned the record's own figures to the digit, its engine's hash the pushed commit's.

## Six · The rest, at his word {#the-rest}

- Thirty was walked under its registration: at eight hundred laps thirty segments in three epochs of ten, the thirtieth at laps seven hundred and eighty-one and two; in the bend at the measure thirty no lock point, the spin free, the observer at sixty by passing over ten rows. At one thousand six hundred laps the fourth epoch holds eleven, the sixtieth to sixty-second fall in the sixth epoch and the sixty-third opens the seventh. The dry note of the design had placed the forty-first in a fifth epoch near lap one thousand and forty-two; the longer run places it in the fourth at one thousand and forty-three, and the prior stands as written, the later reading saying so.
- The seats the house had suggested were built: the fifth seat as the observer's depth, a reading at N; the surprise as a point gained before the break, absent under the mock-up's measures and present only in a narrow band of the registration; the signed absence as the reader's one question, answered in the reader's own register and never the record.
- The experiment was registered in the canon on the public node after the fhq line's door, and these two readings were drafted and minted at his word.

## The carry and the release {#the-carry-and-the-release}

- Carried: the operator's words as he gave them; the house's readings as marked; the registrations, the stake, the verdicts and the walk, each at its address.
- Released: every verdict's reach beyond the instrument; every seat he left open, which stands open; the whole of his reading, which is his.
- Open: B0 to B8, C1 to C8, S1 to S6 and D1 to D5, in the design.
